Lopez is passionate about nature connection, personal growth, and social change. Her interest is in unleashing power and resilience each of us possess, as a propeller for social change.
Her work focuses on the following areas:
Residents And Community Resilience
Lopez` projects create a space for people, absorbed in fast paced and highly digitalized contemporary life, to stop, take a breath and look around them, reconnecting with self and others. Over the past fourteen years she has been facilitating a variety of creative public consultations, grass-root regenerative intitiatives for suistainable living, community choir sessions and social events to foster interconnectivity.
Young Adults And Social Change
As a media teacher over the past ten years Lopez has been collaborating with colleges and community goups in London to deliver extra curriculum projects. Her interest is in supporting young adults to find their creative voice, developing a sense of citizenship and becoming agents for social change. She uses photography, graphic design, film making.
Families And Nature Connection
Since 2017 Lopez has been developing Go Wild Families, an initiative to promote nature connection in the inner city. She has designed a series of workshops (indoor and outdoor) for children and their carers to work together creatively, with the aim to re-discover nature by connecting with it.
Climate Emergency And Self Support
Lopez is currently training as facilitator for group meetings to express, process and share personal emotions in relation to eco-anxsiety.
